Crown to couture
From Beyonce to Audrey Hepburn, Lizzo to Charles II, Crown to Couture is Kensington Palace’s latest fashion exhibition. Hosting over 200 items from ball gowns to court suits and handbags to jewellery. The featured works have either taken a stroll down the red carpet, graced the Met Gala or worn by the Georgian Royal Court in the 18th century.
Drawing parallels between historic garments to the modern day, this star-studded exhibition explores how we are perceived, what we say about ourselves and the illusion we create with what we wear.

We were called upon by the Kensington Palace team to act as both cultural consultant and provide creative direction and advisory. The powerful exhibit looked to fuse both the past and the present through a tastefully designed and depicted journey within Kensington Palace. They also wanted to use the exhibit as an opportunity to cultivate a symbiosis to encourage the engagement of a new demographic and community to both the arts and the space as a whole.
